If you have Gate 13 activated in your Human Design BodyGraph, people see you as a confidante and someone who genuinely wants to hear the stories, experiences, secrets, and lessons they have to share. You store what you have seen and heard and only feel drawn to share it with people who have the ability to reflect and organize this information in a way that can benefit the community, such as someone with Gate 33. You play a part in making sure the important lessons learned through the lived experiences of others contribute to a successful future for a larger group that benefits from this information.
If your Personality Sun is in Gate 13, your Incarnation Cross will either be the Right Angle Cross of the Sphinx 1, the Juxtaposition Cross of Listening, or the Left Angle Cross of Masks 1.

Gate 13: The Listener

Sub Circuit: Abstract/Sensing
The energy of the Human Design Gate 13 Sun transit, in the Gate of The Listener, is about sharing secrets, experiences, challenges, and lessons with each other. The energy this week is about direction, with both the Sun in Gate 13 and the Earth in Gate 7 being G-Center Gates. This direction may come in the form of discovering something about your own path or illuminating an aspect of the path forward to others. During this transit you may feel more deeply connected to those in your life as you are drawn to share more openly with each other. You might also notice a lot of secrets coming to the surface in the coming days; some that could be shocking or disturbing. This is an opportunity to witness how you receive other’s stories and your ability to listen with compassion and without judgement… or not.
Now also begins the Sun's transit through the Quarter of Initiation. The Quarter of Initiation has the theme of purpose fulfilled through the mind. This is about fulfillment through using your gifts of being able expand your mental horizon and awareness of what you are capable of. Harnessing the mind as outer authority to think, educate, conceptualize, explain, and share what it means to be alive as a human. When the mind understands what it is to be in this form, we relax into living life as our true self.
In its higher expression, you have the ability to hold space for the innermost thoughts shared with you and intuitively provide some direction in return. You listen in a way that allows others to feel truly heard. There is a sense of sanctity for the secrets and challenges they express to you. In return, you also can recognize the right timing to share what may be valuable to them that you have learned in previous conversations with others. You also have the ability to keep secrets until the circumstance and timing are correct to share for the benefit of the collective.
In its lower expression, you may overwhelm people by sharing too much heavy stuff uninvited or you may be the one on the receiving end of this deluge. Instead of witnessing and holding space with compassion and empathy, you may find yourself being judgmental, angry, blaming, or resentful. You might also notice people are more apt to blurt out secrets indiscriminately, hurting others along the way during this transit. The conversations this week have the potential to be unproductive if you continue to talk in circles and remain stuck in the past instead of seeking a new direction forward through healthy reflection.
Listening this week can ultimately lead to transcendence and transformation, and you never know when you may hear something valuable to your process. If you are open to receiving in your interactions with others, you may be surprised to discover answers and direction for yourself as well. Check in with your relationships during this time and notice how you feel as both the sharer and the listener. Be aware of what you are expressing with who so that you aren’t unintentionally sharing someone else’s secrets. It is also important to be certain that whoever is receiving what you are sharing is open to it, especially if it is something you feel bursting at the seams to express that may be a lot to take in.
Because this is a Collective energy, the truths you are learning, and sharing may also benefit a greater audience beyond yourself. As long as you are following your Strategy and Authority, the interactions that you experience this week should be the right ones for you.
